What DMA asked for · Decision Book p.21
Teach the prospect something that changes how they see their problem.
Why it matters to DMA: It works well with skeptical prospects who distrust agencies by default.
In our words, from DMA's Product Decision Book v3, page 21.
How we do it
- Today the insight comes from the prospect's own website: the review's findings, each with its evidence, often reframe the problem ("it isn't your ads, it's that the location pages don't show on the map").
- The strategist's instructions tell it to lead with that evidence for a skeptic and to teach first for a researcher.
- DMA's book asks for an insight library built from DMA's own expertise. The place for it exists (approved, versioned content with its claims); the insights themselves are DMA's to write and approve.

Where the data goes
The same six stages on every page. Nothing reaches Nutshell except through the write gate.
- 1Website chat
Source
What the visitor writes.
- 2Sync
Copies Nutshell changes into the bridge database
Not involved.
- 3Bridge database
A copy of the CRM data, plus what the AI works out
The review's findings and DMA's approved content.
- 4AI
Claude models, only through DMA's own gateway
Leads with evidence; quotes only approved claims.
- 5Write gate
The only way back into Nutshell: checked, approved when needed, sent once
Writes the lead, its score and the summary if the visitor books or leaves an email.
- 6Nutshell
The system of record
The rep sees the summary and the score.
The tables behind it
Drawn from the POC's database catalogue: structure only, no data.
PK primary keyFK reference the database enforces (solid line)ID reference kept by id (dashed line)
| Table | What it holds | Columns |
|---|---|---|
| ai.kb_documents | Approved content, where DMA's insights would be stored and versioned. | 17 |
| conv.conversations | One row per chat: its stage and the AI version that ran it. | 22 |
How the tables connect (2)
| Column | Points to | Kept by |
|---|---|---|
| ai.kb_documents.approval_id | ctrl.approvals | The application (by id) |
| conv.conversations.agent_version_id | agent.agent_versions | The application (by id) |
Worked example
Synthetic demo data: every name, business and number is made up.
A reframe from the BrightSmile Dental demo review (synthetic).
Reframing with the prospect's own evidence
- The visitor believes
- "We need more ads to get new patients."
- The evidence
- Three location pages with no map links or business details for Google.
- The reframe
- People searching nearby may not be finding the offices at all, so more ads would pay for a gap the pages could close.
In the running POC

The site review in the chat: three findings, each with its evidence.
- 1The findings, with the evidence from the visitor's own site.
- 2Booking is one click away.

Built — needs DMA's data. This capability runs in the POC today. It needs DMA's own content or data to go live; no code change is needed for that.
