How it works behind the scenes
- The key is stored encrypted and used only by the sync worker, which copies companies, people, deals, notes, tasks and activities into the bridge database and keeps them in step.
- Read-only until you approve a write: nothing is changed in Nutshell by connecting or scanning.
- As records arrive, the account review scores them, so Today fills in while the rest of the copy is still loading.
- In the prototype the connection points at a Nutshell-compatible simulator with synthetic data; pointing it at DMA's real Nutshell is a change of address and key.
Rules and switches that apply here
- Connecting never writes to Nutshell; every later write goes through the write gate and its approvals.
